Located just a short walk from the Kinning Park subway station, Fore Play Crazy Golf presents miniature golf with a unique Glasgow twist.
With two courses, both themed around some of Glasgow’s iconic landmarks, there’s plenty to keep visitors occupied and a few weeks ago I suggested to a group of friends that we checked it out.
The first course, ‘The Cran’ sees players try to putt through a miniature version of the Finnieston Crane – an iconic landmark of the Glasgow riverside, and the newly added second course, ‘The Cone’ ends with a hole based on the famous traffic cone placed on top of the head of the Duke of Wellington statue in Royal Exchange Square. Each course is 9 holes and it takes around 45 minutes to do each one.

We booked online and headed in slightly before our tee time to visit the bar. They have a full bar on site with a great selection of drinks and cocktails. The best part is that you can take your drink around with you as you play. As you can imagine, this makes the courses a lot more challenging!
As well as the crazy golf, they also have giant board games that you can play – we loved the giant Jenga – and there’s a menu offering a selection of street food courtesy of Prague Shack. We didn’t eat but they had plenty of gluten free options on the menu which I need to go back and try.
It’s great value, and they often do special offers and deals which you can keep up to date with on their social channels. They even do a weekly student night and host live music acts on the weekends so it’s an ideal night out venue if you’re looking for an alternative to your usual pub and club.
The venue is full of amazing photo ops so it’s great for stocking up for the ‘gram. No trip is complete without a photograph with ‘Carti B’!

Overall it’s a great laugh and is an affordable and fun way to spend a couple of hours. We all agreed we’d be happy to visit again. Personally, I can’t wait to go back and try the street food!
If you’re thinking of checking it out, keep in mind that Fore Play is an 18+ venue on Tuesdays through to Saturday. All ages are welcome on a Sunday for Family Day (and under 12’s play free with a paying adult!).
I’d love to know if there are any similar themed crazy golf locations across the country – let me know in the comments if your city has one!

I absolutely love the concept of this! That’s such a fun and unique twist on the usual crazy golf set ups, I am cackling at the nod to the cone on the Duke of Wellington haha! I love crazy golf, it’s such a fun and relaxed way to hang out with your friends and I also really love the idea of giant Jenga. I’ll definitely be checking this out next time I’m over the Weegie way 😉

Oh you absolutely must check it out sometime. It’s so fun, really easy to get to from the city centre and you could spend a couple of hours there. The cone was easily the best hole – I got a hole in one on that one!
