I’ve decided to combine my run diary for weeks two and three as I honestly didn’t get as much done as I would have liked to.
I was away for a couple of days and I also really struggled with the heat. I’m not made for running when it’s almost 30 degrees – and that’s at night!
It’s two weeks to go until the big 10K and I upped my distances this week. Here’s my training update.

Week Two Run One
I tried to map out a nice 5km loop on this run but it actually ended up being just over 4km. I figured out it was going to be just short when I was about half way round and tried to add on more distance. By the time I got back to my starting position I was feeling too hot to keep running so I called it a night.

Week Two Run Two
Added my last run route to my first run route and managed a 5km! Woooo! Felt quite proud of myself for getting around even though I wasn’t too pleased with the time. The heat has a massive impact and I still don’t have a water bottle that is easy to take with me on runs. I left myself the option to either head home on this route or keep going to hit the 5 and I’m glad I decided to push for the 5.

Week Three Run One
I was on holiday at my grans this week! We were so busy I didn’t get out nearly as much as I would have liked. I’ve never been for a run here before so it was nice to go out and explore and try and find a nice route. I ended up running a bit of a funny shape trying to cover the distance, but ended up just short of 5km. I walked for probably the last half km before stopping as the humidity was ridiculous.

Thankfully the heat seems to have lifted this week and we’re just being plagued by torrential rain now. Fingers crossed it eases up and I can get out for a run!
First on my to do list is buy a water bottle. Any recommendations for something I can run with then please pop them in the comments!
