Tuk Tuk on Sauchiehall Street has been on my list of must try places almost since it opened. I love meals that are tapas/street food style and it has a good range of gluten free options.

I finally visited with my mum last month, before heading to The Kings Theatre for a show. We decided to have a couple of dishes to share and then a curry dish each. The menu, which you can view online here, clearly labels dishes that are gluten free, as well as dishes that contain dairy, nuts and dishes that vegetarian and vegan.
We ordered the vegetable pakora, the chicken tikka and “streetcorn tikka” – basically corn on the cob. The chicken tikka was incredible. I could have eaten two portions of that with just rice and been happy.

From the street curries menu, we ordered the butter chicken and the “Aloo Gobi” curry which is baby potato and cauliflower in a tomato gravy.
The restaurant doesn’t serve any alcohol but you can BYOB if you want to drink. If not, they have a great soft drinks menu with lots of different choices and some traditional Indian spiced drinks.
I really enjoyed the food but felt some might be put off by the prices as if you are having a couple of small dishes, at around £5-8, each the cost really does add up.

I’d really like to see them add a chicken pakora dish. They do a fried chicken but it sadly isn’t gluten free so some chicken pakora would be a good addition to the menu. They also have chips on their menu marked as gluten free but as we weren’t ordering them I forgot to ask about cross contamination.
